Sankar Matam

Shankar Matam is the founder of Sahara and is supported by a team of 6 board members and 100 plus team members.

Shankar Matam is passionate about contributing to the nation and paved the way to do it by working at an individual level at the primary social point that is village.He believed that the work should engage the individuals who are most vulnerable and facilitate them to walk ahead by reducing their burden. He strongly believes that the village is the center for the implementation as India is having its heart and soul in the village. The way for more sustainable and consistent growth of the nation shall only happen with strengthening of the village is what the founder believes and practices.

He is a research scholar in development studies in IIHMR University, Jaipur, Rajasthan and a fellow in sustainable development Goals (SDG) and Good Governance from the Hague Academy (THA), Netherlands. His diverse education background from allied Healthcare , Psychology, Administration, Organizational Development and Development are all part of his journey towards establishing a source of vast knowledge and an energy driving towards change.

Prathima Sambram

Pratima Sambram is a development professional with a masters degree in development studies and is a Certified Non Profit organization expert. She has great expertise on implementing robust programs with large scale beneficiaries and staff involved.

Resilient in difficult times and persistent in achieving the desired results is helpful for her in implementing the projects in far flung hill areas of Jammu and kashmir and Mining affected areas of Orissa.
